Professional experience:
  • 12/2023-present: Legal Manager at the European Education and Culture Executive Agency, where I provide legal advice and support to the EACEA management as well as operational and horizontal units of the Agency in the framework of their activities
  • 10/2021-12/2023: Legal Adviser at the European Education and Culture Executive Agency, where I provide legal advice and support to the EACEA management as well as operational and horizontal units of the Agency in the framework of their activities.
  • 03/2016-09/2021: Legal Officer at the Central Intellectual Property Service of the European Commission (DG Joint Research Center, Intellectual Property & Technology Transfer Unit), where I provide legal analysis of IP cases, contribute to raising awareness on IP among EC staff and provide contributions to policy formulation. In this function, amongst other activities, I was one of the officers responsible for the i) adoption of the CC BY 4.0 licence as one of the reuse implementing instruments, and ii) facilitation of the open source licensing and reuse of Commission software.
  • 10/2015-02/2016: Legal Researcher at KU Leuven CiTiP, where I worked in EU funded projects (FP7, Horizon 2020) relating to the legal aspects (privacy, security and intellectual property) of the use of information and communication technologies (ICT).
  • 2015: Research Assistant at Queen Mary University of London (project 'Private Copying Exception and Copyright Levies', which involved the research and analysis of regional and national copyright laws to understand the configuration of private copying exceptions and associated levies or other compensation systems and their efficiency);
  • 10/2014-02/2015: Blue Book internship in the European Commission (DG GROW, Standards for Boosting Growth)
